“Based on my Natal Chart, Would I ever be rich?”
This is one of the common questions that I encountered every time when there is a Bazi Consult with friends or clients. What is the definition of Rich or Wealthy? If you do a google on the word rich, the definition of rich is as follows:
Being rich is one thing, maintaining your wealth is another thing. I had seen cases whereby people strike lottery (4D, TOTO) and spent like there is no tomorrow… The next thing, they are back to square one and even worst off than they are before. As I mention, becoming rich is easy but to maintain rich what we need to be aware of.
In Bazi reading, what are the 10 gods that are associated with Wealth? Direct Wealth (DW) (正财) and Indirect Wealth (IW) (偏财) are the 10 gods that are related to wealth. What are the two differences between DW and IW?
Direct Wealth aka DW is mostly linked to a paid salary or with a fixed income position whereas for Indirect Wealth aka IW is linked to commission-based job, which the income is variable.
So how do we know which element is our Wealth Stars? If we take a look at the below diagram, the wealth star will always be the counter element. For example, if you are the Wood Element, the Wealth Star will be Earth because Wood Counter Earth. Another example is if you are the Water Element, your wealth star will be the Fire Element because Water counter Fire. I have come up with a simple chart to identify the wealth stars for each element.

So now if we look at the 10 gods, how do we know which are the direct wealth and indirect wealth. It is actually the same as what I have mentioned, the element that is being countered will be the wealth star. I have listed down the Direct and Indirect Wealth based on which Day Master you are.
So how do we see whether we have DW or IW in our chart?
As you can see in the above chart, there is IW and DW in the Hour and Year Pillar respectively, which means that he/she will have potential in becoming rich if they put in effort or hard work.
So how about those who do not have any wealth stars in their natal chart? Does that means they cannot be rich for their entire life?
Fret not, for those who do not have any wealth stars in their natal chart, we will look at the output stars (Eating God (EG) /Hurting Officer (HO)) instead. But why EG/HO? If you still remember, wealth star is the one that you countered, so i.e for Metal, your wealth star will be Wood. Output star is one that you produce. And hence for Metal, it will be Water. And Water will produce Wood. Which means Output Stars Produce Wealth Stars. I have drawn a pictorial for you to understand. (as below)
After reading these whole chunks of stuffs, is there any way to know whether I will get rich?
There are several ways to see but for this article, I going to focus on one and is the most common one. This method is called Wealth Element Sits on Wealth Storage.
I understand that this may sound a bit profound but let me explain to you as precise as possible.
What is this Wealth Storage for Bazi? This Wealth Storage is just like a storage bag for wealth, if you happen to have these wealth storage “bag” in your natal chart, you are those who is able to save money and keep your wealth.
So what are the Wealth Storage? The wealth storage are 未(Goat), 戌(Dog), 辰(Dragon) and 丑(Ox). If you know about Bazi, you will know that the 4 earthly branches element are the Earth element.
How do I see whether do I have it in my natal chart?
Take a look at your Natal Chart, do you have the wealth storage as mentioned in the table as above. If you have, then there is high chance that you will have a great fortune but of course, it doesn’t means that the fortune will just fall in front of you. Hard-work is required for you to earn what you deserve.
The fortune luck will be shown especially when your wealth stars are exposed. What do we mean by exposed? If is shown in your Heavenly Stems, then the chances of getting rich is higher…
For the below chart, this guy wealth opportunities will come in his next 10 year pillar which is Sep 2021 to 2031.
If your Natal Chart does not have the Wealth Storage then you can rely on your 10 years pillar or even your Year Pillar. Make use of the opportunities if you can see it coming. Prepare yourself well ahead so that when the time comes, you can launch your business, investment or partnership ,etc.
