In one of the 10 gods that we have learnt, Direct Officer otherwise known as DO or 正官is a rightful kind, anyone who had DO in their natal chart could mean that he/she will be someone that everyone would respect or had good integrity. Direct Officer in the ancient time, is those that are able to ascend into a officer post which often gain status and respect in those times.
To a female, DO is related to her husband or spouse and 7K is related to her boyfriends. To a male, DO is related to his daughter and 7K is his son. For this article, I will be talking about DO in relation to the female.
During one of my destiny consultations for one of my clients, he told me that he had problems in his marriage. My client and his wife had been married together for about 5 years and currently had 2 children (one daughter and one son). So I asked him what is the problem that he faced? He explained to me that his wife had been very unreasonable in the past few years and he always give in to her (no choice, happy wife, happy life) if not there wont be any ending. And his wife had been spending money on unnecessary stuffs and luxury items… and due to technology, she had been purchasing online through those 3rd party platform (Taobao, Lazada, etc).
To cut the story short, my client had been suffering in silence since the day he got married to his wife. And due to this marriage, my client “lose” his social network of friends as he had been restricted to meet his friends. At the back of my mind, it could be the destiny chart of his wife that cause such “issue”. Out of curiosity, I ask for his wife chart to take a look…. Just as I expected, the 10 years luck pillar of the wife had caused her to react in this way, Hurting Officer (HO) meets Direct Officer (DO).
What and who is Hurting Officer (HO)? Hurting Officer is one of the output stars (opposite polarity) in relationship to the Day Master (DM). (Would write an article on Day Master, stay tuned). In chinese, it is called 伤官. Output stars which means that it represents ideas, creativity, etc. But for Hurting Officer, it also means that it had his/her own ideas and more realistic then the other output star (Eating God).
So what does it means by Direct Officer Meeting Hurting Officer? If you look at the below picture (this is the actual 10 years luck pillar of the wife), the HO which is in hidden stem and the DO which is in the Heavenly Stem are both in the same Luck Pillar.
And is DO meeting HO good or bad? By now, you should have knew that is not good when DO meet HO (for a female). But why is it so? If you look at the above picture, HO which is Geng Metal (庚) and DO which is Jia Wood (甲). In 5 elements interaction (based on the above pic), Metal Counter Wood, and hence in this case, Jia Wood which is husband would be “chopped” by the Geng Metal. Also as the name implies, Hurting Officer means against the officer (hurt The Officer). And what is worst for my client is that this year (2020), the HO is protruding out in the wife chart which make it more dominating.
In ancient times, women who have Hurting Officer in their destiny chart are not very favourable in terms of marriage. People in those times believe that HO women are not the type that are suitable for marriage and will be a disaster to the husband. But in todays time, HO women do very well in their career as they are more driven and ambitious.
So, are there any “solutions” for my client? There are a few ways
- Wait for the Luck pillar to change which will take another 4 more years (2024).
- Awareness of what is happening. When one is aware of what is in ahead of them, they will be wary. Let my client and/or the wife know that such events are happening because of the 10 years Luck Pillar change for the wife.
- Feng Shui aspect, internal factors – need to check the facing of the Stove, Bedroom and Main Door whether there are in the “right” direction to gather the Qi
- Feng Shui aspect, external factors – external formation is linked to landforms. It is what you see outside your property.
- Feng Shui aspect, activation of Resource stars in the bedroom as this will reduce the behaviour of the Hurting Officer.
- Attend meditating / counselling / Learning classes together as this is a form of Resource activities. Resource counter Output and hence this will cushion the impact of the Hurting Officer.
